Laura. My '22 540i (mild hybrid) exhibits none of what you are describing. There is no strange brake pedal behavior. Would suggest you check with your, or other local dealers, to compare another 340i. I don't see anything like that on my '22 M340i. If your dealer says that behavior is normal, take it to another dealer.
